Water Salon (Naha City’s Water and Sewer Department, Water Data Library)

Museum

You can learn about how to change the natural water into water for daily life, about the role of the water business and facilities to purify drinking water, experience operations and observe the real operations in the “Water Route.”
You can learn to cherish the spring water called “ga” since ancient times, and about the chronology of the history of the ancestors of Okinawa who had a hard time dealing with flood control in the “History Route.”
You can learn the history of the city’s new downtown, and waterworks while watching the video in the “Water Salon.”
The “Water Data Library” consists of three zones; you can learn about the relationship between people and drinking water from various angles in this facility. Many kindergartners and schoolchildren come from inside and outside the city of Naha. We are providing a learning experience about the “water” in Okinawa. It can not be said that the facility itself is a large museum, but it is jammed full of documentation about water, and is also an enjoyable facility for adults.
